New Exhibition - Cover Version

So here it is the first exhibition at a Month of Sundays Gallery ‘Cover Version’ is a celebration of music and art with a slight twist.
Pete McKee has invited some of his favourite artists, designers, musicians, writers and illustrators to create their individual interpretation of a 12” album that they have a special affinity with. This could be a redrawing of the cover, an interpretation of the lyrics, or a pictorial representation of what the music means to the artist.
Several noteworthy individuals have been approached to participate in the exhibition and Pete already has received commitments from Ian Anderson (Designers Republic), 6 Music’s Mark Riley, Richard Hawley, Kid Acne, and Cartoonist Tony Husband amongst others. Pete comments on this new exhibition:-
“As a child I would have loved to have been a pop star, in fact I spent several years focusing on honing my talent before becoming an artist. This exhibition enables me and my guest artists to demonstrate their own passion for music. I can’t wait to start painting my own 12”, the only problem I have now is how to choose just one!
I am delighted that some of my favourite people in the art, design and music world have come together for this very special one off exhibition and i hope everyone will enjoy viewing the work in the gallery.”

GOing to try and get to this for sure ..
Can't wait for this exhibition to be launched, i'm like a kid at christmas waiting for each cover version to come in from the other artists and see what they've done, it's all bloody amazing.
Hey Pete!
What a great idea for an exhibition. We all love music so much and i miss the feeling of buying that 12" gatefold album and staring for hours at the artwork. I still have every piece of vinyl i ever bought and although there is a few embarrassing ones in there - they're all special. CD's started the rot and digital downloads kicked artwork in the teeth. So i am looking forward to seeing it.
best as always
Scott
