Wish i were here

With weather like this how can anyone not think of anything else but the seaside?
Ice creams, Donkey rides, candyfloss, chip butties and slot machines. Obviously, it’s rare to actually go on holiday and have glorious weather, but when you think back, it always seems to be sunny. I’m off on my jollies soon to St Ives but the last three times I’ve been there it’s rained and we’ve gone home early!

So I’d love you to rummage through your old photos of holidays past and email them to me so that I can include them in our next exhibition… WISH I WERE HERE. It’s an exhibition made by you, a whole exhibition full of childhood seaside memories. It would be great if you could write something about the snap or holiday, so that we can include that with the display too. If you don’t have access to a scanner, bring your snaps to the gallery and we can do it for you.

Here is a picture of a young me and the McKee family in Ingoldmells. You don't get these kind of holidays anymore. Please send you pictures to pete@therealmckee.co.uk

This weekend the Gallery reaches a little mile stone and celebrates it’s first birthday. It’s been fantastic having the gallery and meeting loads of wonderful people who have popped in and given their support to our little venture. We aim to go from strength to strength and continue to have interesting exhibitions by other artists and fun stuff to help make the visit to the gallery as enjoyable as possible.
