Winter Dance Party

'Winter dance party' was the name of the tour Buddy was on when he took the decision to fly to the next gig due to the heavy tour schedule. The Pilot was inexperienced and had not got his full qualifications to fly at night especially in adverse weather conditions, but he wasn't going to give up the chance of having a Rock n roll legend in his plane. The wreckage was found the next day just a few minutes from the original take off runway.

Yes the painting is an uncomfortable subject matter, but it is also a very significant moment in music history. 

The paintings subject matter could be seen as controversial, but that's not a bad thing when it comes to art, we need to kick the nest every now and then. I personally feel that the painting is beautiful, poetic and tragic and looks amazing in the flesh.

The image I had in mind when I conceived the idea was a beautiful panel in a Tin Tin book of a plane crash.
