The Everly Pregnant Brothers.

Two years ago I formed a Ukulele band with my mate Bails and we called ourselves The Everly Pregnant brothers. It was meant to be a one off gig done for a laugh, another gig followed so we recruited my lad Charley into the group, which was a very good call as he could actually play a Uke. That was meant to be the end of the story but a 3rd larger gig came our way and I decided we needed a proper singer, so on a hunch I asked Big Shaun to join us and thankfully he agreed because it turned out to be the best decision ever, not only could he sing but he had a knack of coming up with hilarious alternative words for popular songs.

Three more additions to the line up followed, Klive, Toby and Ginger Dave and together we became a seven piece comedy ukulele band with no desire to achieve anything but to have a good time and get drunk while doing it. Well, we must have done something right because this Saturday we play the the biggest gig of our lives to a sold out Lyceum crowd of 1,000 people. I'm chuffed to bits with how it's all gone but I try to keep the band and my art separate, that's why you don't see any of my artwork on the groups merchandise, to me the group is all about having a laugh with some good mates. Keep the Uke.
