Old Memories

My Big Sis came into the gallery earlier this week and gave me a load of old photos from my childhood. was wonderful picking through them and reliving some dear memories, some frighteningly close to some of my paintings including this one of me and our Alan playing cray golf while on holiday, probably in Chapel st leonards. I remember the pumps i’m wearing because you had to colour them in with felt tips, which i did in the caravan while it rained. That’s a mighty impressive windmill in the background, which i’m sure was in full working order, unlike the windmills that languish broken on present day Crazy Golf Courses.

The photo’s also came in handy this week as a did a little talk at PECHA KUCHA about the art of being working class and the pics were a great source of reference for me.

There’s a little treat for all visitors to my site as we’ve put up some free images for you to down load as wallpapers for your computer screens, just giving you all a little spring cheer.
