Art of the City

As any one who lives or has visited Sheffield will know, we are an incredibly creative city, there are dozens of fantastic bands, writers, actors, film makers and independently minded shop owners who want to make a difference to the city and one area above all that we excel in is art, present company excluded.

I’ve never known a time in Sheffield where we have so many wonderful artists and illustrators; it’s comparable to having a music scene only in art. I wont name them all because if I miss one out I will never forgive my self. But one of the leading lights of this scene is Kid Acne, who has exhibited all over the world. This month sees his first major solo show in Sheffield at the Millennium Gallery Launching on 22nd July.

It will be a fantastic event and well worth a visit, I can’t wait to see it.
