hello and welcome to my Gallery ‘a Month of Sundays’. Located in my home city of Sheffield is a place where you can always view my work in person as well as special exhibitions from other artists i like

A day in the life by Jonathan Wilkinson

“A Day in the Life” and the paintings featured reimagine everyday scenes and subject matter in both colourful and atmospheric ways. Those familiar with Jonathan’s We Live Here output will be able to recognise the new works with the main difference being that he has side-stepped his usual blue, white and black colour palette. In comparing them Jonathan stated “The main difference between the two is that the inspiration for the Britarama artworks are more personal and evoke something that is more poetic”.

This is what Pete McKee had to say about the upcoming exhibition:

“i was delighted when Jonathan agreed to have his first solo show at my Gallery, I rate him as one of the best artists in Sheffield with an appeal that will take him far beyond these city boundaries. His work has a simple beauty but is completely knowing and honours the iconic status some buildings poses whether we realise it or not.

His new pieces for the show are stunning and have an haunted charm reminiscent of one of my favourite artist Edward Hopper.”

This exhibition will be one of the highlights of the year in Sheffield's cultural calendar

A Day in the Life” opens at A Month of Sundays Gallery in Sheffield’s Hunter’s Bar on Saturday 3rd September, and runs up until Saturday 1st October. All artworks are for sale from the opening date.
